Privacy Policy for users of the TIMESTAMP World websites

The present Privacy Policy governs the processing of the personal information of Customers/Users (hereinafter referred to as Users), that is collected within the scope of the use of the websites (Sites) by the Timestamp World as the body responsible for said processing.

Therefore, when reference is made in the course of the present Policy to the Company, we are referring to each of the companies in the TIMESTAMP World:

In this Policy, we aim to make Customers/Users aware of the general rules for the processing of their personal information where collected and processed in the strictest respect for and compliance with all of the provisions of the legislation on the protection of personal information, in particular, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 from the European Parliament and Council of the 27th of April 2016 (“RGPD”).

The COMPANY applies best practices in the domain of the security and protection of personal information, having adopted all of the technical and organisational measures necessary for compliance with the RGPD and to ensure that the processing of the information of personal information is lawful, fair, transparent and restricted to the purposes authorised. 

The provision of your personal information, implies awareness and acceptance of the present Privacy Policy.

Collection and processing of the personal information of users

The COMPANY collects the personal information necessary for the provision of services and/or the supply of products, processing information such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, according to the more detailed information provided by the owners of the personal information.

Access to and use of the websites does not imply the provision of personal information by users. However, the use of certain functionalities on the sites implies the provision of personal information by the same, specifically, in the submission of spontaneous applications: personal information is processed for the purposes of pre-contractual procedures, for the handling of an application. Personal information will be processed with the holder´s permission, for the purpose of the sending of communications and relevant information.

The rights of users

Under the terms of the applicable legislation, at any time, users may request access to their personal information, as well as its rectification, deletion, limitation of its processing, the transferability of their information or challenge their processing.

Users may also obtain confirmation of which information is subject to processing, a copy of the information being processed being made available on request.

Where the processing of information is based on consent, users are guaranteed the right to withdraw their consent for the processing of their information for the purposes indicated which itself will not affect the lawfulness of the processing which has already been carried out at that date on the basis of the consent previously granted.

The exercise of any of the abovementioned rights, imply their being requested in writing to rgpd@timestamp.pt.

Without prejudice to any other form of administrative or legal recourse, users have the right to submit a claim to the competent regulatory body under the terms of the law where it is felt that the processing of their information by the COMPANY breaches the legal provisions in force at the time.

Protection of personal information

The personal information collected is processed in strict compliance with the applicable legislation. Personal information will be protected pursuant to the respective purpose while observing the applicable legal time limits. Therefore and where there is no specific legal requirement, the information will be stored and held for the appropriate period of time and so far as is necessary within the scope of the purposes for which they were collected unless the right to challenge, to delete or consent is withdrawn is exercised within the legal limits.

Sharing of information with other entities

The COMPANY may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

  • With other subcontracting entities for the provision of certain services, providing that said provision of services requires access to your personal information by said entity 
  • To third party entities where the sharing of said information is judged to be necessary or appropriate (i) in the light of the applicable law, (ii) in fulfilment of legal or judicial orders, (iii) in compliance with decisions or orders on the part of the regulatory authorities or (iv) in response to requests from the authorities
  • With other entities providing that prior consent has been granted by the proprietors of the information.

In any of these situations, the COMPANY will ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal information in the course of the transfer to said third party entities.

Security

The COMPANY assumes the commitment to guarantee the protection of the security of the personal information that is provided to it, having approved and implemented rigorous requirements in this field, in particular by the approval of an information security policy. Compliance with these requirements is an obligation for anyone who has access to personal information.

The COMPANY agrees to adopt the appropriate security measures to prevent the destruction, loss, amendment, access or accidental or unauthorised disclosure by:

  • Periodic testing of the security systems;
  • Use of information encryption mechanisms in the course of their storage or their transfer;
  • Adoption of physical security measures that are indispensable to the protection of the personal information of our customers.

In this sense, all users are advised to take the appropriate security measures when using the internet, ensuring that they use a browser with secure communications, ensure that the devices and equipment used to access the site are adequately protected against malware, viruses and worms.

Management of security incidents

The COMPANY has available a mechanism for the management of security incidents involving the protection of personal information, privacy and information security.

The COMPANY makes every effort in maintaining and applying the appropriate technology for the detection of security threats that allow the identification and response to security or privacy incidents (as well as any breaches of personal information under the RGPD) without unjustified delay.

Links to third party sites

Access links to other websites may be included on the COMPANY´s websites, which are not part of the group. The links are provided in good faith, the COMPANY not accepting any responsibility for the collection and processing of personal information by these websites and nor does the COMPANY accept any liability relating to such sites with regard to their accuracy, credibility or the functionalities made available on the same. 

The COMPANY is not liable for any damage resulting from any virus that might infect the computer, the network or other equipment belonging to the user resulting from access to the COMPANY websites with the transfer of content to the computer or the network of the user.

The present privacy declaration is applicable solely to the information collected on the COMPANY´s website.

How we use 'Cookies'?

“Cookies” are small, text based files that are stored on the computer via the browser, retaining information related to preferences but not including personal information.
